Ana Soklič

Ana Soklič is a vocalist and songwriter from Bohinj, Slovenia. Her voice belongs to soul, blues and jazz, and most of her songs are written in Slovenian: soul with words from home, a sound rarely heard in her country.

She studied at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana and with Darja Švajger, and in 2018 continued her training in Atlanta, USA, with Dileesa Archer.

In 2019 her song “Temni svet” won both the best song and the best performance award at Slovenska popevka, Slovenia’s leading song festival. In 2020 she won EMA, the Slovenian national selection, and in 2021 represented Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam with “Amen”.

She has performed with the RTV Slovenia Big Band and the HRT Jazz Orchestra in Zagreb, at Slovenia’s Statehood Day celebration, at the Bled Strategic Forum and for Prince Albert II of Monaco. Her 2023 single “Bohinian Girl, Bohemian Woman” was mixed by British producer Troy Miller. Since 2024 she has been touring with her band SoulCast, with whom she released the live EP Emporia in 2025.
